XL Bully for Sale

The tallest class the breed recognises, carried here on the same flat terms as every other puppy I raise.

An XL bully measures 20 to 23 inches at the withers for a male and generally fills out to 80 to 120 pounds. It is a height class, not a breed apart: the same frame and the same temperament as a standard, built taller. The class usually asks several thousand dollars, and the price on my cards is a long way below that.

How to buy one without being sold a number

Ask for the parents at the withers, in inches, not for a weight. Height is what actually places a dog in this class. Weight is the figure a seller leans on, because a bully carrying too much photographs as an impressive specimen and measures as nothing of the sort. Once you have the heights, judge the dogs as structures: watch the parents walk away and come back, want a front that is wide but not splayed, want a dog that plants itself square rather than propping itself up.

What a hundred-pound dog asks of you

Every running cost scales with it. More food, medication dosed by body weight, boarding charged by size, and a real question about handling if anyone at home is slight or unsteady on their feet. Picture the far end of it too: lifting a heavy, sore-hipped dog into a car at twelve years old is a different job from lifting a pocket. A big frame feels the heat sooner than a small one, and the loading those joints take across twelve years is exactly why a lean XL outlives a heavy one. Getting the weight right matters more here than anywhere else in the breed.

Why there is no step up from here

XL is the top of the recognised ladder. Anything advertised above it is a word, not a tier. Why XXL does not name a real category, and what the class costs elsewhere.

The terms every puppy here leaves on

The price sits on the card, with nothing added at the end of the conversation. Examined by Bell Rock Veterinary Clinic before it travels, sent home with a written health record and enough of its own food to change over slowly, and delivered anywhere in the country by road or by a nanny who flies it in the cabin, never in cargo.

I don’t screen or certify the parents and won’t claim I do. What I do is have every puppy examined by Bell Rock Veterinary Clinic before it leaves, and the dates go on the record that travels with the dog.
