American Bully Puppies for Sale in Louisiana
Raised underfoot in my house in Sedona, Arizona, and brought to Louisiana by road. Every puppy is vet checked before it sets off and the price is the same across the litter.
I am in Sedona, Arizona, and not in Louisiana, and saying that plainly beats dressing this page up as though I kept a kennel around the corner from you. The most humid state I deliver into. Summer runs are overnight and I watch the forecast closely.
Getting your puppy into Louisiana
It travels by road, all 1,400 to 1,600 miles of it, spread over 2 days. The temperature stays controlled the entire run, with regular stops to walk the puppy, feed it and check it is settled.
You hear from me when it sets off and roughly when to expect it, and the dog is handed over face to face. At no point does a cargo hold enter into it.
The cost of a puppy delivered to Louisiana
The price sits on each puppy’s card and on the price page, and it holds steady across the litter. Tell me roughly where in Louisiana you are and I will give you the one figure that applies, with nothing quietly tacked on afterward.
See the price and what the first year truly costs, which reaches well beyond the puppy.
In Louisiana the answer lives at the parish
Louisiana has no statewide preemption, so the authority rests with the parish and the municipality, and it genuinely varies. Some Louisiana parishes and towns restrict pit bull type dogs and others carry nothing on the subject at all. There is no shortcut: the parish code holds the answer and the parish government office will give it to you.
The state dangerous dog law itself is behavior-based and reaches individual animals. What changes from place to place is whether an extra breed layer has been stacked on top of it.
Ordinances shift over time and none of this is legal advice. If you want to read the statute for yourself, the state-by-state dog law tables at Michigan State University are the collection to start from. Whatever your state has decided, the two things worth getting in writing before you commit are your own city or county code and your landlord, association or insurer, since a private rule answers to none of the state law above. Say the word and I will hold a puppy while you confirm it.
Humidity, and a hurricane plan
Louisiana is the most humid state I send a puppy into, and it is the humidity rather than the temperature that a short-muzzled dog cannot get past. From May through September a bully in south Louisiana is an indoor dog across the middle of the day, and that is not a preference, it is the animal being physically unable to dump heat into saturated air.
The other thing a Louisiana buyer deserves said plainly is that a seventy pound dog is far harder to evacuate than a small one. Federal law shifted after 2005 so that state and local emergency plans have to account for pets, but that is the plan, not your plan. Crate training from the first week, a carrier the dog will still fit as an adult, and a copy of the vaccination record stored somewhere other than the house. This weighs more here than anywhere else I ship a dog.
Places in Louisiana I have carried puppies to
New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Shreveport, Lafayette, among others. A town that is not on that list changes nothing at all: the route runs the same way and the puppy is still handed over at your door.
Before it travels, every puppy is checked over by Bell Rock Veterinary Clinic in Sedona and leaves with a written health record. I do not screen or certify the parents and I make no such claim. What I actually do · What comes with your puppy · Sales policy
Weighing one of these up for Louisiana?
Tell me where you are and what your household looks like. I will give you a straight read on which puppy fits and how it would travel, up to and including that none of them are right for you.
