Pocket
The short frame, full build
POCKET American Bully Puppies
Pocket American Bully puppies: the breed on a shorter leg, raised in my home in Sedona.
A pocket male comes in under 17 inches at the withers, a female under 14. Same breed, same head, same temperament as an XL. The leg is shorter and the dog is lower, and that is the whole of the difference.
Why pocket breeders are thin on the ground
Pocket litters are rarer than XL litters, so a search for pocket American Bully breeders tends to surface directory after directory and very few people who actually raised a puppy. Scarcity also pushes the pocket price up elsewhere, sometimes past a far bigger dog. That logic has never made much sense to me.
What a pocket is not
Pocket is a height, not a shrunk-down toy version of the breed. The dog underneath is still thick, heavy boned and substantial. He is not a lap dog, he does not eat much less than a standard, and he wants every bit of the same exercise.
If someone has offered you a micro instead, that is a separate conversation, and I would read it before you put money down.
Does a pocket suit a smaller place?
A bit, yes. A lower dog is simpler to steer on a lead and claims less of the couch. But the exercise need does not shrink with the leg, and a bored bully in a flat is a destructive bully whatever its height. Here is what the breed genuinely needs from you.

Still weighing up which class fits your home? Every puppy I have for sale sits on one page here, and the figures for each age are laid out on the puppy price page.
The health side, and a vet you can call yourself
Before any puppy leaves me it is seen by Bell Rock Veterinary Clinic here in Sedona. That visit is dated on the written record you carry home, and the clinic’s number is on the page so you can ring and confirm it.
The shots start with DHPP, then a booster and canine influenza at ten weeks. Worming runs every two weeks from two weeks of age. All of it is written down and travels with the dog. The protocol, step by step.
I do not screen the parents and I will not pretend I do. What happens is a general veterinary check plus my own eyes on the litter every day from birth. No breeder can honestly promise a dog free of every inherited condition, so I don’t.
