American Bully Pitbull for Sale
This search usually hides two quite different dogs behind one phrase. Here is the one I actually raise.
What I raise are American Bullies, not American Pit Bull Terriers. The two are related and they are not the same animal: the Bully is the shorter, far heavier, calmer of the pair, built from the 1980s onward with companionship as the whole point. If it is the lean, athletic terrier you are picturing, I am the wrong person to buy from, and I would sooner tell you now.
Which of the two are you actually after?
The split that will shape your daily life is drive. An American Bully is happy with two real walks and then a long stretch asleep on the sofa. An American Pit Bull Terrier is a genuinely high-drive dog that needs proper work every day and turns into a problem without it.
Most people typing "american bully pitbull" want the build without that engine, which is the Bully. A few truly want the terrier. The most useful thing you can do on this page is be honest with yourself about which one you are, because it is precisely that mismatch that fills the shelters.
Why the two names run together
"Pitbull," in everyday use, is not a breed at all. It is a bucket that gets applied on looks to several breeds and a great many mixed dogs. Insurers, landlords and animal control reach for it to mean "resembles that," which is exactly why an American Bully tends to get swept up by a breed restriction despite being a separate breed in its own right.
That practical consequence outweighs the terminology every time. Get your lease, your HOA and your insurer to put the position in writing before you commit to a puppy.
What is on offer here
American Bullies, 10 of them available now, XL down through micro, raised in my house and examined by the vet before they travel. The full breed comparison.
Every puppy, the same terms
The figure on the card is the figure, with nothing bolted on at the close. Examined by Bell Rock Veterinary Clinic before it travels, sent home with a written health record and enough of its food to change over gradually, and delivered anywhere in the country, by road or by a nanny who carries the puppy in the cabin and never in a cargo hold.
I don’t screen or certify the parents and won’t claim I do. What I do is have every puppy examined by Bell Rock Veterinary Clinic before it leaves, and the dates go on the record that travels with the dog.
Ask me anything
The awkward questions included, and that goes for a puppy you are weighing up from somebody else as well.
