How the law reads for the breed here in Arizona
Back in 2016 Arizona pulled this question out of the hands of its local governments. The statute now bars every county, city and town in the state from writing any ordinance that singles a dog out by its breed, so there is nowhere inside Arizona an American Bully is forbidden simply for being one. A particular dog can still be declared vicious under the dangerous dog provisions, but those hang on what the animal has actually done, not on its outline.
That leaves Arizona among the easier states to own this breed in. Anything that remains is private rather than public: a lease can still carry a breed clause, a homeowner policy can still exclude, and neither of those is touched by the state statute.
