American Bully Puppies for Sale in Colorado

Raised underfoot in my house in Sedona, Arizona, and brought to Colorado by road. Every puppy is vet checked before it sets off and the price is the same across the litter.

I am in Sedona, Arizona, and not in Colorado, and saying that plainly beats dressing this page up as though I kept a kennel around the corner from you. Cold isn’t a problem for a puppy in a heated vehicle. Snow closing I-70 through the mountains is, so winter runs are planned around the forecast.

Bringing a puppy out to Colorado

From my door in Sedona to Colorado is 600 to 800 miles, which on the road comes to 1 day. The puppy rides the whole distance in a temperature-controlled vehicle, and we stop to let it stretch, eat and be looked over.

No freight company ever touches it and it never flies in a hold. If air travel suits you more, a nanny who keeps the puppy in the cabin is there as the alternative.

The cost of a puppy delivered to Colorado

The price sits on each puppy’s card and on the price page, and it holds steady across the litter. Tell me roughly where in Colorado you are and I will give you the one figure that applies, with nothing quietly tacked on afterward.

Denver closed out the longest ban in the country

No state is more interesting on this subject than Colorado. For better than thirty years Denver banned pit bull type dogs, one of the longest-running breed bans anywhere in the United States, and when it finally ended the city swapped it for a breed-restricted license: the dog is registered, chipped and permitted rather than prohibited. Aurora wound up its own ban over the same stretch.

Colorado has no statewide preemption, so this stays a town-by-town question and a handful of Front Range municipalities keep rules of their own. If you are anywhere in the Denver metro, look up the specific jurisdiction you live in rather than assuming the repeal reached you, because the metro is a quilt of overlapping lines that a postal address does not follow.

Ordinances shift over time and none of this is legal advice. If you want to read the statute for yourself, the state-by-state dog law tables at Michigan State University are the collection to start from. Whatever your state has decided, the two things worth getting in writing before you commit are your own city or county code and your landlord, association or insurer, since a private rule answers to none of the state law above. Say the word and I will hold a puppy while you confirm it.

Altitude, and why it actually suits this dog

Denver sits at 5,280 feet and much of the Front Range climbs higher still. Thin air leans harder on a short-muzzled dog than a long-nosed one, for the same airway reason heat does. A puppy leaving Sedona at 4,300 feet already has part of that adjustment behind it, which is a genuine if small edge over one flown up from sea level.

Colorado winters are no trouble for a dog built this way. Cold is far kinder to them than heat, and a bully with any coat to speak of is comfortable through a Denver January. What needs managing is road salt on the pads and the plain fact that a dog this heavy on ice is a joint injury in waiting. Keep it on a short lead and off packed snow at a run through the first year, while the growth plates are still closing.

Places in Colorado I have carried puppies to

Denver, Colorado Springs, Aurora, Fort Collins, Boulder, among others. A town that is not on that list changes nothing at all: the route runs the same way and the puppy is still handed over at your door.

Before it travels, every puppy is checked over by Bell Rock Veterinary Clinic in Sedona and leaves with a written health record. I do not screen or certify the parents and I make no such claim. What I actually do · What comes with your puppy · Sales policy
