Delivered to Texas

American Bully Puppies for Sale in Texas

Raised underfoot in my house in Sedona, Arizona, and brought to Texas by road. Every puppy is vet checked before it sets off and the price is the same across the litter.

I am in Sedona, Arizona, and not in Texas, and saying that plainly beats dressing this page up as though I kept a kennel around the corner from you. Texas heat and humidity are the hardest conditions I deliver into. From May to September the run goes overnight, and I’ll delay rather than move a puppy through a heat advisory.

Bringing a puppy out to Texas

From my door in Sedona to Texas is 900 to 1,400 miles, which on the road comes to 2 days. The puppy rides the whole distance in a temperature-controlled vehicle, and we stop to let it stretch, eat and be looked over.

No freight company ever touches it and it never flies in a hold. If air travel suits you more, a nanny who keeps the puppy in the cabin is there as the alternative.

The cost of a puppy delivered to Texas

The price sits on each puppy’s card and on the price page, and it holds steady across the litter. Tell me roughly where in Texas you are and I will give you the one figure that applies, with nothing quietly tacked on afterward.

Texas put this to rest in statute

The Texas Health and Safety Code forbids any municipality in the state from regulating dogs in a breed-specific way. That is why no bully ban exists in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio or Austin: the cities are simply not allowed to write one. In its place Texas runs a serious dangerous dog framework, criminal liability included where a dog inflicts serious bodily injury, and every bit of it turns on what the individual animal has done.

There is one big carve-out that is not an ordinance at all. Texas carries an enormous military population, and privatized base housing at Fort Cavazos, Fort Sam Houston, Lackland and Fort Bliss restricts pit bull type dogs by lease. A lease is not preempted by the statute. If you live on post, start with your housing office, because the state law will not cover you there.

Ordinances shift over time and none of this is legal advice. If you want to read the statute for yourself, the state-by-state dog law tables at Michigan State University are the collection to start from. Whatever your state has decided, the two things worth getting in writing before you commit are your own city or county code and your landlord, association or insurer, since a private rule answers to none of the state law above. Say the word and I will hold a puppy while you confirm it.

Gulf humidity is the toughest thing I deliver into

Texas is not a single climate. El Paso is dry desert and behaves like Arizona. Houston, Beaumont and the coast are humid subtropical, and humidity is harder on this dog than raw heat is, because panting cools by evaporation and that stalls once the air is already loaded with water. A ninety-five degree Houston day is rougher on a bully than a hundred and five in Phoenix.

For the coastal third of the state the summer routine turns genuinely strict: early and late only, air conditioning across the middle of the day, and a real eye for what heat stroke looks like in a dog whose panting has stopped working. Dallas and the Hill Country land between the two poles. From May through September my own runs into Texas go overnight for exactly this reason.

Places in Texas I have carried puppies to

Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, Fort Worth, El Paso, among others. A town that is not on that list changes nothing at all: the route runs the same way and the puppy is still handed over at your door.

Before it travels, every puppy is checked over by Bell Rock Veterinary Clinic in Sedona and leaves with a written health record. I do not screen or certify the parents and I make no such claim. What I actually do · What comes with your puppy · Sales policy
